Day 25: Fellabær/Egilsstaðir – Seyðisfjörður

I get up early, have breakfast and take down the tent. I have to be at the ferry at 8:30 a.m. local time.

The ride to Seyðisfjörður over the mountain takes place in fog. A lot of vehicles with the same destination are on the road. When I arrive in Seyðisfjörður, the ferry is just reaching the port.

In Seyðisfjörður, the processing of the motorcycles takes place in a separate small one way street. I am the third motorcyclist to arrive. At check-in I'm told that 60 motorcycles are expected today, last week there were only 23.

The motorcycles are the first to be allowed on the ferry. I'm at the front. So I'm one of the first to move into the cabin and can watch the rest of the boarding on deck.

The exit from the fjord makes me a bit sad, because the time I spent in Iceland was really great.
