Namutoni – Halali (Etosha)

The first water hole already offers a big show. Several giraffe bulls are contesting each other's access, which primarily means staring at each other. We also see many zebras and many other ungulates.

After the thunderstorm last night, like the nights before, we get quite bad road conditions on Eland-Drive. Brigitte and Astrid have their first 4-wheel experience through puddles and mud, talked through by Wolle in the passenger seat and on walkie-talkie. The purchase of these devices has not only proven itself here. One should definitely have it when driving with two vehicles!

We drive through impressing landscapes. Changing colors, salt, grass, dry steppe, sometimes green scrub, now and then small groves, then again stony or earthy, sometimes red, sometimes gray, sometimes brown.

We always try to prepare a picnic in the morning, because a Leo can't eat sandwich cause of gluten and wheat intolerance.

A service worker in Etosha Park tells us that the 26.12. is family day. For this she takes a ride for about 1,000 kilometers in a shared taxi to the Caprivi Strip in around 24 hours. As we got to know the streets, this will be quite a hard tour for her.

In the evening we go to the restaurant. It was a very long and hot day.
