Windhoek

Eurowings Economy is like a sardine can. Maybe we're getting to the age where we should make a stopover in some metropolis to split long flights.

Rudolph from Safari Car Rental is already waiting for us when we landed on time, just like three years ago. We change money and then got shuttled to the base station of the car rental company halfway to Windhoek.

The car handover is always somehow a bit tedious, but we get everything explained to us again in detail – it's better.

The supermarket shopping turns into a two-hour happening with a break in between – we urgently needed something to eat and a coffee.

Then to the Urban Camp in Windhoek – quite familiar already. We treat us with two Rock Shandy each before we even do anything – but that doesn't really help against the tiredness and the transition headaches anymore.

So we set up the roof tent (it always takes a little longer the first time, later it's done in no time) and stow the most necessary things (especially in the cooler).

During a heavy rain shower, we have a snack and then go to bed early.
