Windhoek and flight back home
After packing the car for the last time in the morning, we refuel and park the car again at the Urban Camp to go for a stroll through Windhoek. Although the distances here are not so great, hardly anyone walks.
The city isn't that interesting either.
We go to the Namibian Craft Centre and have a look around after a small lunch. After a short detour to the CYMOT City Centre, which also offers outdoor equipment, among other things, it's time to return the vehicle. We drive to Safari Car Rentals who have their office halfway to the airport. Most of the vehicle fleet of around 50 vehicles is already back in the yard. Some others are also returning their vehicles today. The vehicle handover is problem-free.
After everyone has returned their vehicles, we are taken to the airport in a company owned shuttle bus, where we still have about 2 hours until departure. Due to double security checks (once the usual normal security checks and later shortly before boarding another manual search of luggage and scanning separated by gender) it doesn't get boring and the holidaymakers are all in a good mood anyways.
Finally back in the sardine can. Early the next morning we arrive in Frankfurt, where we soon have our connecting flight to Hamburg, where we are picked up by Leo in his old Daimler. Super Service!
