Okaukuejo – Halali

We start early since we go to bed early.

In the direction of Halali, we take every detour and are rewarded with many animal encounters, with the exception of lunchtime between around 12 and 2 p.m.

Rhino (morning and afternoon), herds of zebra, wildebeest and springbok, kudu and red hartebeest, giraffe and last but not least six lions. Is that the family we saw three years ago with the little lion cubs?

Among the countless birds are the Martial Eagle (a real Kaventsmann von Vogel) and the Secretary Birds – great to watch.

Around 4 p.m. we are completely exhausted and drive straight to the next camp, to Halali. The German "The hunt is over" call is a symbol here for the end of animal killing through the creation of the national park.

Pool, shower, transfer data, plan for the next few days, get a little drunk after a Rock Shandy with a few drops of Angostura and go out for dinner (yes, again!). We could just keep going at this pace now...
