Day 51: Beyneu - Caspian Sea (Camping)

No Breakfast this morning. No one in the hotel. I upload the last photos and then set off. First, I'm looking for a bank - I still need money to refuel. The road is fine, I'm making good progress and eventually find a petrol station with 92 octane. I'll mix in the rest of the Uzbekistan gasoline, but then my bike will only get fuel of the best quality!

I'm still using the studded tires and I guess that I'm able to reach Belgorod with them at least, with the front tire perhaps I will make it even to home.

Atyrau is geographically the crossroad between Europe and Asia, so I make the leap back to Europe today. Atyrau is a port city with several ferry services across the Caspian Sea.

I found a nice campsite on a kind of lagoon on the Caspian Sea (Brigitte hears chirping on the audio). I was here at 5 pm and decided to make this little detour to the seashore. Of course I had to ride through sand again! I cooked some noodles with some ketchup and think that my stomach can handle it again.

Earlier I got some visitors, a father and son on a - if I did understand it correctly - 49-year-old Ural. I admire the Ural, the son admires my BMW. Unfortunately, there is no photo of them or even the Ural, the father did not want to.

Now the mosquitoes come out and I will crawl into my tent.
