Day 38: Camping - Osh
Pack tent, tidy up, pack, fix the side mirrors again ...
I leave without breakfast, because I do not want to use the stove here and because I want to be in Osh at noon.
From Jalalabad on the road is getting better. No gravel anymore. Funny, I remember there is an NDR correspondent in Jalalabad. The place looks nice. I try to take some shots of the roadside with the actioncam. On the road I buy a bread on the street. The people here in Kyrgyzstan are somehow more restrained than in Kazakhstan, but basically very friendly too. And you always have to shake hand - the handshake is very important as a sign of mutual respect.
At the entrance to Osh I meet a cyclist from Germany. But basically such a small talk often remains only a mutual check: "Where do you come from?", "Where are you going?", "Who has seen/experienced the best?"
I decide to first visit the motorcycle shop Muztoo, a workshop with motorcycle rental. I want to change my rear tire there. Swiss run, but rather a workshop for bikes without Swiss standard. Now, I can get changed the rear tire and wash the bike there.
Then I go to the Tes-Guesthouse and book a single room for about 20 Euros. I had 5 days of camping in a row and I'm in need of a proper shower and some laundry. The latter, however, does not really work well - they didn't tell me, I have to care for drying the laundry myself. And so my laundry is unfortunately still wet the next morning. Arrghh.
I'm getting some money (Son) from an ATM for hotel and refueling and order a pizza and some salad in the evening to the hotel. I am quite hungry because I had only the bread during the day. In the courtyard of the hostel, people meet and chat and eat. The evening is very nice and entertaining. I am getting in contact with two Germans who have already ridden the Pamir-HIghway, and two Swiss guys who are on my direction. Only the photo upload does not really work.
