Day 47: Buchara
The last night was quite bad and although I finally slept very well, I'm very exhausted. For breakfast I get a rice porridge, which is very tasty and my stomache tolerates it well.
I do sightseeing in a snails pace and keep looking for a bench and keep myself afloat with coke. You are only permitted to enter the Medresas at daylight and have to pay admission. I visit some of them, they are more or less well preserved. The main medresa is beautiful with porticoes and mosaics.
There is a lot of tourism in Bukhara, French, Spanish and also German tour groups, but it is still rather a discovery tourism. And you always meet interesting people. So I have some conversation with a couple from New Zealand, which worked as a teachers in Syria for some time.
In the afternoon I take a longer nap. For today I'm on a diet with Coke, electrolyte solution and pills to build up the gastrointestinal flora again ...
