Taroudant - Tiz' n Test - Marrakech

Brigitte:

Slept well, nice breakfast, early start.

Make another tour around the city wall on the motorbike.

The ride over the pass is easy, has many beautiful curves, but is not as scenic as the Anti-Atlas yesterday.

We overtake and are overtaken by a small motorbike with Spanish plate and meet the couple in a small town. We join them for tea and learn that she is Spanish and has been traveling to Morocco for 25 years and that he is German. Then a Spanish motorcycle group arrives.

Later we stop for having a tea and are "towed away" by two Berbers. The whole thing ends again in an annoying sales pitch and somehow there remains a bad feeling, because for the first time the black bag was loosened.

The ride into Marrakech is a little adventure. The navsat wants to direct over the large square (Jemaa el Fnaa), but at the entrance of the souk Wolle refuses to continue. The recalculated route takes us through endless narrow streets, it's almost like James Bond in Mumbai. At some point, some guys ask us where to go and we tell him to the Lycee Mohamed V, which our hosts have named as a landmark. We follow a moped but finally we are at the wrong place and Nadine has to pick us up after we call her for help. She shows the direction in which we have to ride and Alain will wait for us. It's a pity, we don't have a helmet camera.

Nadine and Alain are super friendly and helpful. Their riad is great. It's like coming to friends. Alain rides with Wolle to the parking lot, Nadine shows the house to me and later gives us not only a detailed introduction to the most important places but also shows us the some waypoints for orientation. You want to heart her! After showering and relaxing a bit we go out for our first walk, places, souks, bustle, ... In the evening we have dinner in the classy Cafe Arabic. One last beer on the rooftop and we sink into our beds.
