Marrakech

Brigitte:

Slept well, great breakfast on the roof terrace.

First to the bank. In total we changed: 400 € on arrival, 200 € in Agdz, 400 € in Marrakech. But we are paying the majority of hotels in cash.

From the bank we walk to the Medersa Ben Youseff, a former Koran school. A big and nice facility.

Then we walk through souks and quieter streets passing a fairly rotten fountain to the south to the Palais Bahia, where you can visit the former harem chambers.

Away from the palace, two guys try to tow us off somewhere else and tell us the palace is closed. And elsewhere, a woman claims she showed us the store where we buy water. These people are really annoying.

We'll take a look at the former Jewish quarter, the Mellah, which is being pimped up and we return to our riad in the late afternoon. Alain has kindly organized the washing of some of Wolle's clothes. We're planning the next days for Wolle on the terrace and are trying to sort out our photos.

Then we stroll to the Souk Cafe for dinner and have very nice Moroccan appetizers (mezze), a tajine and some sweets with the coffee. Sitting on the roof terrace while drinking beer, I write diary, Wolle cares about his mail server, which is not working. It's very annoying, the technology and the work is a burden ... By now it's midnight and we should go to sleep.
