Marrakech - Airport / Wolle is riding on to the Cascades d'Ouzoud

Brigitte:

Slept a bit restless and woke up early, but everything is ok.

Once again a good breakfast, the two turtles get some salad after neither Wolle's green colored shoes nor my red toenails are edible. We are allowed to use our room a bit longer and so we have a trip to the Saiden graves, which were rediscovered in 1917. Then again across the city to the Royal Palace and the Mellah, with much leisure.

Alain and Nadine are just lovely.

Again a short bike ride through narrow streets and something illegal at the Royal Palace through the gates. We have to search a while until we find the entrance to the airport. Sometimes the many policemen here are helpful after all.

What a pity that I have to go back. I hope Wolle will have some nice days and returns well to HH.

Wolle:
I leave the airport quite soon, because I still have a few miles ahead of me. I booked a hotel at Ouzoud the night before.

Unfortunately, I do not check the route of the navigation system, which leads me another way out than I thought it would do. But doesn't matter. I do a short detour to Demnate, but I pass by, as it is already a bit late and I still have to arrive to Ouzoud. The rest of the ride is quite nice.

The riad, which I have prebooked, is quite nice again. Amazingly, the receptionist is also quite fluent in German.

Immediately after checking in and changing clothes, I set off to walk to the waterfall, as there should be dinner soon, which I would like to take in the hotel. I have to plan the next day and it's most comfortable to do this during/after dinner in the hotel.

The waterfall is pretty impressive. Upstairs you can walk on the rocks right up to the abyss. As usual, there are no barriers or the like. Unthinkable in Germany! Even more imposing is the view from below. I quickly walk down along the myriad of shops and restaurants. Great views. The Moroccans love the water or the proximity to water. As the sporty unit of the day, I have to walk upstairs again.

The dinner is excellent and the only other guests are an older French woman and a younger couple from an Eastern European country. I do not want to succeed in planning for the next day. I want to ride to more remote areas and do not know in which condition the dirt roads are there. Therefor I do not decide for booking a accommodation.
