Madrid - Toledo - Cordoba

Today I ride on the highway to Cordoba. Spontaneously, however, I decide to make a detour to Toledo, only 90 km from Madrid, which I visited with my parents 40 years ago. Although I have no memory - even when I am there nothing comes back to me - but there are still photos of that time.

In Toledo, I get a small snack and sit down next to an elderly local on a bench. We start talking a bit, although we do not have a common language. I tell him about my trip, he tells me that he also likes to ride around by moto.

Riding on across the plateaus sometimes the wind blows quite strong. 40 km before Cordoba I decide to take a smaller road and I am pleased with many curves and the beautiful blooming landscape.

Just in time shortly after 5 pm I arrive at Nico & Clara (both of them have to go back to work at this time), where I rented a room via AirBnB for one night. Nico has even measured his garage in advance to check if my bike could be parked there. Fits perfect! The room and my landlords are nice. I have a bathroom for myself, since the other room in the apartment is not occupied. The location of the apartment is great. You are in the middle of the city and can easily walk to the interesting spots.

In the evening I walk through the Alkazar (the castle) and the connected beautiful park and stroll through the streets of the old town. At a place I have dinner, fried Pulpo, which were not very great.
