In the morning we wake up before the alarm clock, 7:30 clock. We have to leave our room until 10:00. We pack and go to the hostel for breakfast. We get some food and yoghurt in the bakery next door. Then we ride the bikes in front of the apartment.
Alessandro, who is part of the Italian couple also comes over with his bike. They too want to continue their journey today.
Our landlady Hana says goodbye but we don't understand any word and the hostel boss Kimeta gives us a hostel recommendation for Mostar. So we ride on to Mostar with a short detour to Jablanica, to a railway bridge that was destroyed in World War II.
A sudden onset of rain causes us to return to the motorcycles and the clothes, we left behind there. While we drink an espresso and cappuccino in the cafe where our bikes are parked, a huge thunderstorm front shows up. We decide that we will flee on the quickest route. This way leads first to the south and then to the motorway into the direction of Split. Once again we have great luck and only get a few drops of rain. Our destination for today is Trogir, which is just north of Split.
We reach Trogir just before seven o'clock and ask at a kiosk/information for a room for the night. I refuse the first offered room with a narrow double bed. So we get a 3-room apartment with a one room with a child's bed for my fellow rider, as he is the younger of us (as he notes) and the room with a double bed for me. Once again we have a very nice landlady (Ivana) and the apartment is in any case a high standard and also WIFI and TV are available.
After the obligatory shower, we set off for the old town and are really excited about it.
The old town of Trogir is located on a small island and is built entirely of marble and the streets are completely interlaced. In many courtyards there are cozy restaurants and bars and on Friday of course life is buzzing in the streets. Many local young people are around here.
We are going to have a nice dinner. Today we have delicious fried small fish! Great, that was still missing!
After the meal, we stroll around a bit. We take a look at the big luxury yachts bobbing along the quay wall and in a bar we enjoy listening to live music for a while.
