Lantsch/Lenz – Camping Gran Bosco
In the morning I say goodbye to Markus, who starts to work with his new Harley. I'm soon on my way, which Markus and me did check out together the night before. I follow his recommendations blindly, because he knows Switzerland very well, even though he has not yet passed the 130 Swiss Pass Tour at this time.
It will once again be a memorable day with numerous impressive passes: Furkapass, Grand St. Bernhard (Grand Saint Bernhard), Little St. Bernard (Petite St. Bernard), Col de L'Iseran. But with over 550 km, this day is also quite long. And shortly before arriving at the campsite Gran Bosco, there's the Mont-Cenis / Fréjus tunnel, which I was not aware when planning. Annoying expensive. If I had realized it before, I would have choosen a bit different route. But now it was too late and I wanted to arrive at the campsite soon.
The Camping Gran Bosco is well equipped, Wifi on the whole campground and in the restaurant. Because of its ideal location, the camping is also used by numerous motorcyclists. Many of them are probably regular guests there, at least some have told me. There is probably a kind of "motorcycle community". Also some groups of offroad riders are on the camping. At the first evening, there was not much talking to other people. There are not so many people traveling solo and the others people on the campground seemed busy with each other.
