Day 03: Ober-Hilbersheim – Camping Lindelgrund
Wolle heads off in the morning to lend a hand setting up the winery festival at Axel Schmitt’s estate, while Brigitte makes an early start for the train.
Fiftyten finishes work on the camper module sooner than expected, so it’s a quick trip back to Wiesbaden. It’s great to see the module being swiftly remounted with the help of a forklift; all repairs have been completed.
We meet up at the Wiesbaden-Kastel train station and drive together to Rüdesheim, on the northern bank of the Rhine. We take the ferry across to Bingen and continue to the beautifully situated Camping Lindelgrund near Guldental. There, you can take a walk to an interesting former rock hermitage. In the evening, we enjoy a tasty pinsa (a type of pizza) at the campsite restaurant.
