Ronchi dei Legionari – Sinsheim

The ride from Ronchi to the Alps in the morning sun was very nice and the highlight of the approximately 800 km long highway trip to Sinsheim. When driving into the mountains it was soon getting quite cold and in Austria the sky was mostly covered with clouds. Sometimes a bit of rain, but then also snow-rain and riding only a little bit below the snow border, later also easier hailstorms. Around Munich were violent hailstorms, in which I was fortunately not in, but on the street there was a layer of thawing hailstones. I was happy to be on a new rear tire there.

I'm glad, I didn't have a temperature indicator on the bike. Who knows how much I would freeze if I knew how cold it really is.

Actually, it was getting a little warmer just before Sinsheim. Maybe that was just the idea that I could soon sit in a hot sauna.
